Things we own which, if we're not careful, end up owning us. Stuff appeals because it comforts and is habit-forming. It creates the deceptive feeling of being ready for uncertainty. In fact, the opposite is true. Most Stuff is useless, hard to get rid of, and prevents you from adapting as situations change—an albatross disguised as a security blanket. In this newsletter, Stuff is almost always a bad thing.
